The Wildernest is a serene home within the evergreen rainforests of Thekkady, Kerala. Cool comfort at an altitude of around 3000 feet, and at a handy distance from the Periyar Tiger Reserve & its lake. The Wildernest is where you retreat after a raft-ride down the river, a boat safari, or even a trek through the great, wild outdoors.

Accommodation :
We took 10 of the most spacious rooms around and filled them with all the comforts of home. Then, we took it all and placed it in a simple  stone and exposed brick structure that uses natural materials everywhere. No two rooms at The Wildernest are the same & they come attached with a private garden or a private balcony. You will find that the balconies overlook and offer a splendid view of the bamboo jungle.

And you can choose from two types:
Terraced rooms : With spacious, open sit-outs upstairs.
Secret Gardens : With an intimate little garden that offers total privacy and seclusion.

Modern spacious bathrooms, cable TV and telephones are some of the conveniences on hand.

Facilities & Services :
We believe in serving up breakfasts fit for mountain appetites. And so, bright and early each morning, you can choose from a groaning table featuring hearty cereals, fresh breads, eggs to order, a tropical fruit platter, home made peanut butter and preserves, plus all the tea and coffee you want. Enough to keep you trekking all day, actually!
