travelers. Heritage Villa Selvom – restores as
Hôtel du Parc was built in the early 17th Century and was a
part of Villa Aroume. It has served in the past as the residence of many
French Governors including Dupleix.
Hôtel du Parc has been re-modeled as a
reflection of the colonial times. The architectural designing of Villa in
the architect's own words has been a "search to find an overlaying
geometry (form) which can bind values". The distinct colour scheme of the
sun kissed yellow and shades of pastel turquoise
have been inspired from the region of Provence, South France. The
contemporary look is a blend of the old and the new, captured well with
the English drapes, pure fabrics, colonial
atmosphere, antique French furniture and local
artisan craft in cane weaving and pottery. The impression of the leaves
from the "Parc" leaves a unique feeling
 of
leisure in a natural setting!
Accommodation
The living experience through the 10 colonial styled rooms
offers a classy and leisurely retreat. Each room is unique and different
in interior decoration. The antique furniture, porcelain light shades,
ceramic pots and pure cotton and silk drapes add to the contemporary
ambience. The Living experience offers a classy and leisurely feel making
it a true retreat. The ambience provides a comfortable home with
