unwinding when you are one with nature. High above the rest of humanity.
Amidst the lofty peaks of the blue hills that offer you a magnificent view
of the Ooty valley. Alongside the low clouds that pass by, rubbing

Sterling Elkhill. To ensure three times the pleasure, the resort
has been divided into three blocks – A, B and C – with each block set with
sloping roofs and terracotta tiles, and equipped with a lift to take you
to your ‘unwind chamber’.
Accommodation : While the hotel block
has a splendid view of the town in Ooty, the apartment offers a panorama
of nature at its very best. So take your pick! Elkhill offers 22 studio
apartments, each with their own garden and sit out, where you enjoy an
unforgettable view of the valley even as you breathe fresh, non-polluted
air. There are 64 one-bedroom apartments, each of which have a balcony
from which the entire Ooty town is seen. You can also choose from 27
two-bedroom apartments that also have a sit out, besides a balcony and
offer an equally grand view of the hills.

Club : A Club offers hours of unwinding pleasures, with snooker
and billiards, board games, badminton, tennis, cricket and cycling
facilities – take your pick.
Cuisine : Indian, Chinese,
Continental, South Indian – take your pick from a variety of cuisines
available at Elkhill. Room service is available from 7 am right to 11 pm.
A coffee shop is open from 7 am to 11 pm and offers ample variety for a
meal, with a breathtaking view of the greenery and the cool mountains
around. All buffet lunches and dinners at the restaurant can be enjoyed to
the accompaniment of light music.
While you can enjoy Indian or continental breakfast from 7.30 to 10.30 am,
lunch is served between 12.30 to 3.00 pm and dinner, between 7.30 and
10.30 pm. For those who with specific needs, vegan food is also available.
And do not fail to check out the local delicacies - Avarai Udhaka,
Ootaikudi Udhika, Thuppathittu, Earigittu, Ennatttu – that are special
dishes from the Nilgiri tribes. Other popular fare include Mutton
Roganjosh, Vegetable Mixed curry, Chilly Chicken, Cabbage/Carrot,
Vegetable/ Beans and Urulai Varuvel (potato). |
