Dukes Retreat

Its naming however goes back to the British Regime, When
Khandala was a heaven for the British Governors, Who wanted to
spend their holidays amidst serenity. But the name "Dukes Nose" originated after the "Dukes of Wellington" who came to spend his holidays in Khandala. Even today people who come to Khandala, because of a striking similarity between the cliff and his long nose feel the Duke's presence.
When observed meticulously with a wink-eye look the cliff appears as if the Duke is sleeping back and taking a nap. The Local natives because of its resemblance to the hood of cobra, loving call the cliff "Nagfani" |

The Rooms are full of comfort.
Cottage Rooms The 8 secluded cottages at Dukes Retreat are a
nature lover’s delight. With majestic mountains for company, these 620
sq. ft cottages have their own living room, a separate bedroom and a
beautiful private courtyard or garden at the rear. Ideal for a family of
4 to 6 persons, the two bedroom cottage features one master bedroom with
a king-sized bed and a connecting living room, elegantly decorated. The
Cottage offers a bathroom, a dining table for 4 and deck, which
overlooks the garden.
 Deluxe
Rooms The 18 Deluxe rooms are spacious 500 sq ft
split level centrally air-conditioned rooms with character and a restful
ambience.
Executive Rooms Relax within the green cover of the hills as you unwind
in one of the 54 Executive rooms. Spread over 350 sq ft, including a
large bathroom with a separate shower enclosure and smart amenities like
a hairdryer etc. The rooms are tasteful, modern with classic retreat
tones.
There are 80 centrally air-conditioned rooms: 54 executive rooms, 18
deluxe rooms and 8 cottages.

- Need to de-stress, then our Kerala Ayurvedic
Massage centre with expert medical guidance is the place for you to
relax your body and mind. The ancient Indian medical science of
Ayurveda is the perfect prescription to relax and unwind from the
rigours of city life.
- It is advisable to have the massage on a light
stomach. Do not have a heavy meal at least one hour before the
massage. As far as possible, consult the doctor at the massage
centre. Make a prior appointment for that special, personal
attention and advice.
- The full-fledged Gymnasium is equipped with
high-end machines as well as steam/sauna and Jacuzzi. The area is
