A quaint resort based on a Victorian theme located in close proximity to the shimmering Kodai lake that borders it on one side. And on the other, the thickset forests that add to the serenity of the place. If this is the sight that beholds you in Kodai, you have just arrived at Sterling Lakeview.

Accommodation : To ensure that you unwind in unlimited space, the rooms have been designed across a sprawling piece of land spanning four and a half acres. The gradual slope of the area adds to the Victorian touch of the resort and makes it look more quaint.

Studio apartments : Lakeview has 24 studio apartments that are grouped in rooms of eight to a block. Each room is the perfect picture of cozy comfort and looks comfortably ensconced in each other’s company. The gorgeous lake, the lush greenery of the resort and the dense forest – each room makes sure you are never short of a splendid view of nature at its very best.

One bedroom : There are 42 one bedroom apartments in the resort and are grouped four to a block. They span right from the main administration block, right to the tail end of the resort. The view from the rooms is as spellbinding as in the studio apartments and differs from block to block. While some rooms overlook the lake, the others offer a view of the lush green lawns of the resort.

Two bedroom : While there are 24 two bedrooms in all, the resort provides ample variety in the design of these apartments. While some of them have the delicate English touch, with the rooms placed in rows and a small garden in the front, a few others have been constructed in two levels, with one bedroom located on the upper level that has a small balcony overlooking the lake on one side and offering a view of the forest on the other.

Guest rooms : There are 12 guest rooms in the resort, located in the heart of the property and located on opposite sides, facing each other. All the rooms offer a splendid view of the resort garden from the window.

In all, the resort has 104 rooms - two of its best rooms are the Viceroy’s Suite and the Coaker’s Suite and are located in the main administration block. Both rooms are non-time share and can be accessed by those who have a taste for the finest things in life - the rich royal ambience and décor of the Victorian era. Both rooms offer a view of the Lake.

Club : A Club offers hours of unwinding pleasures, with board games, badminton, tennis, cricket and cycling facilities – take your pick.

Cuisine : The finest delicacies from myriad cuisines – Indian, Continental, Chinese, South Indian and Tandoor. The finest views of the lake and the green hills as you enjoy a meal. And the finest spot in the resort where the restaurant is located. Get ready to get pampered as your taste buds unwind and gear up for a feast - karikuddai chicken, nellai chicken , kolai varathai curry, appam, paniyaram and idiappam form some of the local delicacies. And if your choice is Jain or Vegan cuisine, do let us know in advance. Our chef would be delighted to provide you with your choice of fare.

Travel
Airport : The nearest airport is in Madurai, 125 kms from Kodai. The Coimbatore airport, 180 kms from Kodai, is an international airport base. The best mode of transport to these airports is by car/bus/mini van.

Railway Stations : The nearest railway station from Sterling Lakeview is Kodai Road, 85 kms away. The Madurai junction is around 120 kms away.

Bus Stations : The Kodai bus station is a central one that is connected to all major towns and cities. It is located just 2.5 kms from the resort.
