Sawe farm is located at about 150 kms from Mumbai, in
north Konkan region of Maharashtra state. It was established in 1970,
on a barren piece of land. The Sawe Family, opted for this land
only because of financial limitations. It was a great challenge
for us to develop this unfertile, eroded land, in to a horticultural
orchard. With consistent scientific efforts, keen updating and
innovations, Sawe family could convert this once neglected land in to
a lush green productive farm.
In a journey of 35 years, sawe family haven’t just reaped good harvest out of
this farm, but have also gathered a lot of practical experience and
knowledge in horticulture and allied 
fields. At this juncture, sawe family feels, they should share their experience
and innovative ideas with investors and entrepreneurs, farmers and
students, hobbyists and nature lovers. The information on this page is to give a

Since last 18 years, Sawe Farm has been in the field of
scientific production of quality fruit plants.

activity: 'Tarpa- Gholwad' : Our Agri-Tourism activity “Tarpa”, at
Sawe Farm, has caught the imagination of people who need short break
from their day-to-day stressful life. It also aims at exposing city
folks, especially children, to the nature and rural life. Creating
awareness about environment is yet another purpose behind this
activity. |

A short Agri-Tour of 2 hr duration.
For students, Farmers and Nature lovers: Rs. 100.00 per person.
a) Tour will be arranged for a group of minimum 25 persons. |

One-Day Agri-Tour - Duration 9.00 am
to 3:30 pm.
For students and farmers: Rs. 275.00* per person (min. 40 persons)
For tourists: Rs. 400.00 per person (min. 10 persons)
Tour includes: A veg. meal, a break fast and two teas.
* Rates applicable only for tours booked by Agri Dept. / Edu. Institute/

A Tour with ‘one day one night’ stay: Rs. 750.00 to Rs. 1100.00 per

Tour includes:

b) Accommodation: On sharing basis in 2, 4 and 8 bedded rooms. |

A Tour with ‘two days one night’ stay: Rs. 1000.00 to Rs 1400.00 per

Tour includes:
Three veg. meals, two break fast and four teas.
Accommodation: On sharing basis in 2, 4 and 8 bedded rooms. |
