Wallwood Garden, Coonoor, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India Two hours from Coimbatore, Wallwood, earlier known as Blair Athol, in the heart of upper Coonoor, was built over a 100 years ago by a Scottish Major General, hailing from the village Blair Athol in Scotland (the Duke of Athol still lives in Scotland in his own castle.

Wallwood was later sold to a British couple after the first World War who ran it as a boarding house for many years. It was purchased by Liptons before the second World War and the house has remained in the hands of tea companies – currently with Matheson Bosanquet.

The Mansion has retained the atmosphere of the past when tea estates had their own life style. Coimbatore to Coonoor : By Car - the journey is approximately 2 hours. There are two other options i.e., First option is that we can travel upto Mettupalayam by Train and then pick up the guests ITom there. Alternatively there is a Blue mountain express which shuttles between Mettupalayam and Conoor. From Conoor railway station we have to pickup the guest to our Hotel.

Room tariff is payable in advance to confirm bookings.
No charge for children below 4 years.
One extra bed can be provided per room @ Rs.500/- (+tax), where space permits.
Bar facility is not available.
Check-in time is 2 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon.
Luxury tax on rooms as per Government regulations.

Meals

Bed tea, and evening tea are included in the room rent.
Fixed menus are offered at the per head rates: Breakfast Rs.100/-, lunch Rs.250/- and dinner Rs.300/-.
No charge for children below 4 years and half rates for children below 10 years.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Sales tax on rooms as per Government regulations.

Cancellation Charges

25% if cancelled four days in advance.
50% if cancelled two days in advance.
50% if few of the total booked rooms are cancelled.
100% if cancelled one day prior to booking or on the same day.
Credit card cancellations will be charged 3% extra.
