The
location of the hotel in the Coonoor is in a clean premium location within
5 minutes drive from the main town area as well as from the railway
station. Coonoor is located in the Nilgiris Mountain Range in Tamilnadu.
The hill range became very popular during the British period of rule.
The resort offers various places of tourist interest such as the century
old botanical gardens, picturesque tea estates, orchards and gardens,
mountain peaks, boating spots, water falls etc. Each place is a world
wonder where a visitor could dissolve himself with nature.
The
wild life in the range is wide along with the river basins. Elephants,
tigers, panthers, bison, sambar, antelopes, deer, lion tailed monkeys,
cobras, pythons are spread over the nearly forest ranges. On safari,
visitors get a visual treat of most of these species in their natural
habitat. Hunting, of course is forbidden. Due to variation of heights in
the hill range, the range offers a variety of plants and vegetation.
Unlike the coniferous forests in the western world, the oriental hill
range is full of exotic trees, flowers, medicinal herbs, orchids, fruit
trees, shrubs and grass lands, fully supported by a wide variety of birds
and insects. |
