A glide in a "Kettuvallom" (Houseboat) through the enchanting
backwaters of Alleppey is sure to rob your heart. Palm fringed narrow
canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny
hamlets lined up along either side of the canals are panoramic sight one
can never forget.
The Houseboat ancestry can be traced to the traditional kettuvallams, native rice barges. The modern Houseboat is constructed with eco friendly local raw materials. To cruise down the meandering backwaters the hull carved from Anjili Wood is treated with traditional lore to make it water resistant. The arched roof, canopy, “Valavara” is made from bamboo, Arcanut tree and bound with natural Coir. The flooring too is of wood and marinated plywood.
Houseboats boasts of a plush interior replete with modern amenities- bedrooms with attukattils (traditional swinging beds), bathrooms with eco-friendly sewage facilities, a shaded living area, sit out, a sundeck to tan yourself and gaze at the Verdant surroundings.

ACCOMMODATION
There are houseboats with AC and Non AC, fully furnished single room,
double room and triple rooms. All of them have sundeck, private balcony
with comfortable chairs, kitchen and echo friendly (bio tank) toilet.
In a house boat you enjoy your accommodation, sumptuous meal of your
choice & at the same time sight seeing.
The cuisine is of your choice or you could enjoy our traditional Kerala flavour along with the local specialties; delicious fish.

 The energy for lighting, air conditioning,
chilling and TV is provided by Solar Panels. Thookkuvilakku (Hanging
lamps) light up a honeymooners evening. A five bedroom AC Houseboats boast
with Conference Hall. Skilled and
experienced crew mans the craft and lifeguards at important points enhance
the foolproof security system.
